What A Weekend

There were a lot of interesting things that happened this weekend.

Friday Night,
First, as soon as I got off of work, the wife and I went to get her phone looked at. I think she has a bad battery, but the store we took it too didn't have the proper tools to diagnose it. So just before we left the store, we got a call from my mom saying she was close to where we were and if we wanted to go to dinner. By this time it was around 8 at night when we finally set our minds on a nice in-town BBQ place. I nearly ate one whole rack of Ribs. They were GOOD!!! My mother, during dinner, said that her co-worker, who's been married for less than three months, thinks that being married is the best thing in the world. My wife, I have to love her, said, "Wait until you're married for longer than a year." I just turned my head and looked at her. She continued to eat as if nothing had happenned when she finally looked at me and realized what she had said. My mom was busting up laughing and I couldn't help but laugh also. After that, we went to Sam's Club. I saw this book that I, for one reason or another, couldn't resist buying. "Generation Kill" was only $10 so I picked it up without a second thought. Can't wait to read that one.

Saturday,
I went with my wife to get the oil in her car changed. My mother, who was looking for a new car anyway, accompanied us and ended up purchasing a brand new Honda Accord. But the issue was that we went to the dealership at 11 am and didnt leave until 3 pm. It wasn't long until 6:30 pm hit and we had to go to a play Les Misérables performed by the Christian Youth Theater (CYT). Three of the youth from my youth group were performing and my mother, my wife and I appluaded everything that was done. THEY WERE AWESOME. It was almost as good as a broadway musical. My wife caught the ire of one of the actresses when she said she didn't really understand anything that was happening. I laughed at how angry the actress got.

Sunday,
We went to Church (I don't normally talk about church, but will becasue...) and found out that my pastor's father was near death (he infact pasted away at 1 am this morning). After that, the wife and I went to see WALL-E. It was a GREAT movie. Not much on the human plot, but the robots stole the show! Then we came home and watched movies all night. Busy to say the least.
